‘Holme: The making of a new public garden’ by Simon Goldsack

Simon and Liz have built the garden from a 15 acre site of an old farm. The garden design is a mixture of formal and informal sections. The formal gardens are influenced by Hidcote, The Laskett and the writings of Katherine Swift. The layout of the informal areas is inspired by Alan Bloom’s Dell Garden. A stunning garden on the Isle of Purbeck, and one we have visited as a club.
Members free; visitors £3 (just turn up)
